After downgrading Eclipse to version 2021-03, I attempted the installation of the Google Cloud Platform plugin again, and this time it installed without encountering the javax.annotation dependency error.

This workaround might not be ideal for everyone, but it resolved the installation issue in my case.

After adding https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2023-09" rel="nofollow noreferrer">download.eclipse.org/releases/2023-09 I get this error, "requires 'osgi.bundle; javax.servlet 2.5.0' but it could not be found". Following a comment on https://stackoverflow.com/questions/73004696/unable-to-install-google-cloud-tool-for-eclipse-ide">stackoverflow.com/questions/73004696/…> and added https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2022-03" rel="nofollow noreferrer">download.eclipse.org/releases/2022-03 to software update sites and was able to install Google Cloud Platform for Eclipse 1.10.1.202306072020 on Eclipse 2024-03
